The foundations of Akdeniz Orman Istanbul were laid in the early 1900s as a small lumber sales shop in Kasımpaşa, Istanbul. Until 1970, our company met the local wood needs of the region, and with the rapid development of the furniture industry, it took important steps towards growth by increasing its product variety.

In 1986, our company began producing lumber from logs at its new 4,500 m² facility in Pendik, Istanbul, and in 1990, it strengthened its position in the sector by becoming a corporation under the name Akdeniz Orman Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. Thanks to its R&D efforts, which are based on the use of the highest quality raw materials and the best products, the company has become a leader in the industry.

In 2006, the company laid the foundations for one of the world’s largest machinery parks in the timber production sector in Tuzla Orhanlı, and began production in its modern facilities in 2008.

Akdeniz Orman Istanbul imports logs directly from tropical regions, ensuring they meet its own quality standards, and supplies them to customers in customized, dried, and profiled forms according to their needs. All imported logs are sourced from legal and sustainable forests, and every stage of the process is meticulously monitored.

All our products are prepared in accordance with quality classes and offered in the quantities and specifications requested by our customers.
